Hindman Auctions, one of the nation's leading and fastest growing fine art auction house, is looking to add a full-time Account Executive. The Account Executive is the backbone of our business and is responsible for primary communications with our clients for the entire life cycle of the consignment process. The AE works across the entire organization and partners with the Expertise department to ensure all aspects of the consignment process are done in an efficient and effective manner, and may be involved in researching projects, cataloguing and property management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients related to sale terms, the auction process, client agreements, property and sale status
  • Inventory and catalogue property, perform condition reports as property arrives in house
  • Work across all departments to ensure flow of process
  • Support auctions by executing phone or live platform bids
  • Assist specialists in meeting clients
  • Oversee the successful completion and close of consignments

Successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelors Degree in Art History or related field
  • 1-3 years administrative or customer service experience required; gallery, museum or auction house experience preferred
  • Superior communication skills and strong sense of professionalism and discretion
  • Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
